PROFESSION A PERFUMER IS the one who blends the perfumes for individuals and companies who want their own signature scents to sell
Traditionally, perfumery is learnt as an art form, a trainee is trained under a master perfumer for several years to learn the skills. The student wanting to learn perfumery has to perceive perfumer of a large or medium sized a master company who is willing to take you under his wings or you can pursue course in perfumery science and technology.
A perfumer needs to have a high level of concentration and need to be calm all the time. It involves a lot of artistic work. Moreover the course requires you to alternate three months of classroom learning with three months of traineeship with a mentor. Perfumers are also responsible for developing improving production processes.
Career
There will always be new ingredients to explore and new ways to mix them. You will never stop learning with the changes that tech and markets bring. There is constant exposure to new ideas, people and culture; therefore you are always developing your tastes and likes.

The aroma trades covers employs people in a wide range.
Most of the major perfume companies abroad have their own perfumery schools.
